PENSACOLA BEACH, Fla.—Post Hurricane Sally I was assigned cases at the beach. It was very emotional and difficult to knock on doors, make phone calls etc. Although many of my cases were vacation rentals; not all were.
I drove to a few addresses and witnessed upper-class homeowners dragging wet carpet out of their home and others piling up wet personal belongings to the street. The look on their faces was something I will never forget. It was very tragic. I didn’t attempt these addresses on this day.
